In the second episode of Didaktik:Dialog , I speak with Evita Lerchenberger from the University of Graz about key aspects of mathematics education. Together, we discuss how to design mathematics lessons that go far beyond arithmetic—towards understanding, reasoning, and strategic thinking. We talk about the didactic concept of basic conceptions, dealing with misconceptions, and the importance of a connection to real-life situations. Particularly exciting: the project "I like math", which demonstrates how mathematics can be taught in a way that is relevant to everyday life, playful, and meaningful.
