In the fifth episode of Didaktik:Dialog, I talk with Jasmin Peskoller from the University of Innsbruck about intercultural learning. At the heart of our conversation is the question of how teachers can design diversity-sensitive lessons in a pluralistic society—and why every (teaching) situation also carries an intercultural dimension.
We also discuss the role of empathy, reflection, and teacher education in this context.
Jasmin highlights why culture is not a static concept and explains how intercultural education should be more firmly embedded as a cross-cutting theme in both schools and teacher training—so that sustainable learning processes can take place.
